Hollywood Screenwriter 3.82 Instructions
Update for Hollywood Screenwriter (Version 3.82)
  1. Click on the Hollywood Screenwriter 3.82 link above to start the download.
  2. If prompted to Run/Open or Save, choose Open.  If you wish to keep the HWS_3.82.8_Update.exe installer file, choose Save and save it in a location where you can find it (e.g., Desktop).
  3. Once the file is done downloading, the installation of the program will begin.
  4. Read and follow the on-screen steps to install the udpate.

Templates
Click on the appropriate link that matches the CD you have for Hollywood Screenwriter.

To install the templates:
  1. Click on the link above that matches the Hollywood Screenwriter CD you have.
  2. If prompted to Run/Open or Save, choose Run or Open.
  3. When the download has finished, the installer should start automatically.
  4. By default, the templates will be installed to the correct folder. NOTE: if you installed the program into a different location, right click on the shortcut on the Desktop and choose Properties. The "Target" field will tell you where it is installed. Make sure the templates are going to that location.
  5. Click Next.
  6. The new templates will be installed; your scripts will not be altered in any way.
To use the new templates:
  1. Open a new or existing file.
  2. Click on the LoadFormats menu and click Screenplay.
  3. The new templates will be listed there along with the old templates.
  4. Select the template you wish to use and click Open. This will reformat the currently open script using the template you chose.
